I am a caterpillar awaiting the day when I burst through my cocoon as a butterfly.
Why did I choose to make art my profession? A profession that for many is unprofitable? ... but what else is there?

As far as I can remember, my love of art began at the age of four. My grandfather, a retired architect, discovered it when he would sit with me and a pile of paper and some pencils.

Sixteen years later I still love art as much as I did at four. My practise is based around the visual side of things rather than exploring the written meaning behind the art. Heavens, that work bores me. I would rather you connected with my work and make up your own mind as to what you feel it says to you, or simply enjoy it if you find it pretty - better still, if you find it interesting.

When making art I experiment in three and two dimensions. My materials are almost never the same between projects although I do have a deep fascination with watercolour and ink and return to them regularly. I also love the effects that engraving gives. I am in the very early stage of my career so I have yet to choose a preferred material. Watch this space...
